After being presented at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, the Cité de l'Espace in Toulouse is currently hosting the "Our Ocean from Space" exhibition until January 2026. With nearly 450,000 visitors per year, the Cité de l'Espace is a popular space-themed attraction and a leading science museum in Europe. It offers a variety of exhibits and activities related to space exploration and astronomy.

The exhibition offers a fascinating odyssey from space over the oceans and seas of our planet. It highlights how space technology is used to monitor and understand our oceans, providing valuable insights into their health and changes. This is a great opportunity to learn about the intersection of space technologies and oceanography.

The "Our Ocean from Space" exhibition at the Cité de l'Espace also delves into the dynamics related to climate change and the threats to fragile marine ecosystems such as ocean warming, sea level rise, pollution, illegal fishing, and the exploitation of marine resources. It features 25 testimonials from experts and citizens from coastal areas, providing a comprehensive understanding of how these changes impact our planet and its inhabitants. "Our Ocean from Space" offers a unique perspective on the importance of using space technology in monitoring and addressing environmental challenges.

"Our Ocean from Space" is co-produced by UNESCO and ESA, with the support of Mercator Ocean International and the Italian Space Agency (ASI). The French Space Agency (CNES), the Institut Cartogràfic iGeològic de Catalunya (ICGC), Planetek Italia, the Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici(CMCC), Shom, Prométhée Earth Intelligence, and the Maldives Space Research Organisation (MSRO) have also collaborated. The exhibition can be displayed at the Cité de l’Espace thanks to Copernicus Marine.
